People are increasingly using Search Engines to find the products and services they need in their geographic area. 40% of all online searches relate to Local information, and users are 30% more likely to buy a product or service related to Local Search
How does Local work? Let's say that a user in San Diego is looking for a locksmith. They most likely will want a locksmith that is local and can help them right away. The user would type in "locksmith San Diego". The Local results show up at the top of the page, above the traditional web search engine results. These local results are not actually representing websites but rather business profiles created for the businesses themselves. Most importantly however, the Local listing is at the top!

The above image shows an example of Local Results showing up at the top of a Search, above the more traditional "organic" results. Why is this good? 62% of search users click a link at the top of a search results page. Page Advantage can assist with optimizing and placing your business on the Search Engine Local listings.
